Important warning

Iraq Securities Commission renews its warning to esteemed citizens against dealing with unlicensed companies or entities that claim to be affiliated with or represent the Iraq Stock Exchange or any official body, and which contact citizens by phone or through social media for the purpose of financial fraud.

The Commission also confirms that it does not have any WhatsApp number or any unofficial means of communication, and that communication with citizens is carried out exclusively through officially approved channels.

The Commission calls on citizens to:

• Refrain from transferring any sums of money or sharing personal or banking information with any unofficial entity.

• Verify licensed companies through the official website of the Securities Commission.

• Report any suspicious cases or fraud attempts through official channels.

The Commission stresses that dealing with unlicensed entities may expose citizens to definite legal and financial risks, and affirms its continued efforts to issue warnings and raise awareness in order to safeguard investors’ funds.
