The Iraqi Gazette (Al-Waqa'i Al-Iraqiya) Publishes Document Preservation Instructions for Iraqi Securities Commission

Iraqi Securities Commission announced the publication of the Document Preservation Instructions No. (1) of 2026 in Issue No. (4869) of the Iraqi Gazette (Al-Waqa'i Al-Iraqiya), published by the Ministry of Justice, as part of the Commission's efforts to develop its document management and archiving system and enhance institutional efficiency.

The Chairman of Iraqi Securities Commission, Mr. Faisal Al-Haimus emphasized that the issuance of these instructions represents an important step toward strengthening the principles of corporate governance and administrative transparency by regulating the procedures for preserving and managing documents and records in accordance with legal and professional standards that ensure their integrity, protection, and accessibility whenever needed.

He added that the instructions contribute to preserving documents of legal and administrative value and support institutional transformation efforts and the development of the working environment within the Commission, in line with best practices in document and information management.

He further noted that the publication of the instructions in the official gazette grants them binding executive force, calling on all departments and concerned entities to comply with their provisions and implement them accordingly. This, he said will enhance institutional performance efficiency and safeguard the Commission’s documentary assets.
